Saying "Goodbye"




We had to say goodbye to two wonderful therapist this month. On December 19th Linda Veldman who was Cameron's occupational therapist through TJ Samson left to go to Roanoke VA. We have been with Linda since the summer of 2006. She has truly worked to bring change and betterment to those she is around. Glasgow KY is a better community for having her with us.




Today on December 29th we had to say goodbye to Leigh Anne Roden. She has been with us since October of 2007 and spent the next 14 months bringing my son into our world in ways we had never seen before. I have often referred to Leigh Anne as Cameron's 'Miracle Worker". He was always so eager to see her & would come running to his chair to see what she had planned for the day. I would sit and watch in amazement as she would have him doing things I had only dreamed that I would see him do. I have many great videos of the two of them working together and will cherish them. Cameron's Journey took a whole new path the day we met Leigh Anne and we are forever grateful.

Watching Stem Cells Repair the Human Brain Monday, August 17, 2009 TAU researcher shows viability of bone marrow stem cells with unique MRI tracking methods There is no known cure for neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington's, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. But new hope, in the form of stem cells created from the patient's own bone marrow, can be found — and literally seen — in laboratories at Tel Aviv University.
